We stayed at the raddison last year and ot was amazing...had to be my favourite hotel.we paid to upgrade to a superior superking, river view. I have to ssy i was a little disappointed, red wine stains on the carpet beside the bed really dirty grounting in the shower room/tiolet. The rubber stopper on the door stop was missing, so the glass door rattled. Its not massive complaints but it just seemed like standards ate slipping and its a bery pricey hotel..the staff as always were amazing, but our room.could have done with some TLC unfortunately it has put me off stsying agsin only because of the high price tag and slightly slipping standards in the room. Its not lettinh me upload photo's but i will try agsin.
We had a fantastic stay at the Radisson Red this weekend! We upgraded to a Hydro view room which was brilliant and had lovely views of the Hydro lit up at night, as well as the riverside.
We were attending an event at the Hydro and the proximity is incredible, 2 mins walk and you're there.
The rooms were spacious and clean.
We loved our stay here and will definitely be back in future
A lovely warm welcome from reception and we were given a really good room. Clean, comfy bed, everything we needed including a great view. Breakfast among one of the best we’ve had at any hotel we’ve stayed at.
Wasn’t the cheapest hotel and the pillows were not the best but this is a definite 9/10 hotel. I’d stay again for sure!
Avoid during event if looking for quiet night away
Can’t not fault staff we met, room standard - but that is where it ends arrived at hotel was told we would not have access to sky bar due to a private function was little disappointed but was heading in to city - came back to bar on ground floor ordered a margarita which was supposed to be with patron silver observed the bar staff making cocktail unsure what tequila they used but was not patron which is a very recognisable bottle never said anything but paying £12 for a drink thought it was a bit underhand not to be advised of this, had a drink headed upstairs for bed on entering the lift it became apparent the party upstairs was in full swing but just assumed noise was travelling down lift shaft, said to my sister surely you don’t hear that in room - on entering our room it became very apparent that you heard it in room it was bouncing quite literally listened to it for over an hour th en decided to call reception they advised it would be going off at 11.30pm I am all for people enjoying themselves, but I am not happy about paying for a night away and having to experience it 3rd hand never slept most of night just couldn’t settle after music ended. At no point during booking/check in process were we informed that this may be a possibility. Very disappointed with experience, receptionist apologised on check out and did not charge for the car park on the evening of our stay.
Great room, great sky bar, great location...not so good restaurant.
The pizza and the curry chicken rice dishes seemed lacking...limited flavour. And...the restaurant always seemed to need reservations regardless of the time.
The location is super close to the event centres and we could easily walk up the Finnieston to a nearby store or the many pubs / restaurants on Argyle.
Having the Hop On / Hop Off stop across the street was super useful...especially if you get the multi-day pass and want to use it to get you up the hill around dinner time or across town for some shopping.
