True Key West vibe!

Very nice property with beautiful landscaping. The staff was outstanding. Just one note-there were a bunch of kids in the pool even though this a advertised as "adults only" . Not a problem for us but some people might be disappointed if they truly wanted an "adults only" experience. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nicely Cuba styled. The downtown transportation made it easy to go there. Many seats available by pool. Food options somewhat limited and could have longer hours for the food truck as we got back from a sunset tour and the food truck was closed by 10 pm. After paying for the hotel on Expedia there were many hotel fees on my credit card statement. Delivery fees, resort fees not explained by Expedia or the hotel before would be charged later.

My boyfriend and I had a fun time however, due to hurricane damage, workers started hammering on rooftops around 8:30 am. We were located poolside which was nice and had its perks but the gates to the pool constantly slammed in the early hours and the music started up by the pool around 10am which echoed in our room. Also the property maintenance workers would start leaf blowing around the pool area around 8:30am as well. Despite having a good time, we did not sleep well here. This resort is still dealing with serious hurricane damage. Our room clearly had damage and had been flooded, swollen doors and the floor laminate completely lifted up. Being a Florida resident, I am sympathetic to this but I wasn’t expecting these conditions for the prices that were paid. Also on site food and drink prices were incredibly high. The shuttle to down town was very convenient and timely and The Flama Cabana bar is absolutely incredible. I feel that this hotel pre hurricanes would have been the best place to stay in Key West. It is apparent that hotel management is doing the best that they can do get their resort back in full working order but I do feel as though this information should have been disclosed or room prices should have been more reasonable. Overall, despite all of this, if I had the opportunity, I know I would enjoy myself here again.

I booked Havana Cabana because it’s an adult-only property. I expected it to be a fun, laid-back atmosphere—but the experience was anything but relaxing. On the day of check-in, I was abruptly informed that my reservation was canceled due to construction. No prior notice, no apology, and no options were offered. I was simply redirected to Margaritaville, a dated hotel with very few amenities, no perks, and a small, smelly room that only had one bed—despite my request for two. The pool was tiny, and the whole experience felt like a downgrade. The lack of communication and customer care was extremely disappointing.

It was under construction, so it was not at its best but it was mostly a pleasant experience, especially the pool. It did require a shuttle to get to town and to key west attractions. However, it was reasonably priced.

The location was very convenient, rooms were clean, facilities were clean. However it stated it was an adults only hotel I received three emails days before about this and I don’t mind children but there were children everywhere and I was looking forward to a child free quiet vacation. They also had dogs in the pool area which to me is unsanitary and the staff was not very friendly only a gentleman named Nick was very nice

I've never had one complaint about the Havana Cabana. It was my fifth time staying here. I had a four night stay booked. The vibe is awesome, the pool bar, the food, the DJ, all the xtra perks like popsicles, jello shots, 25% off food and N/A beverages for being an Expedia VIP, parking for my scooters & pool loungers were plentiful. Now the bad. My 1st floor room looked like it had never recovered from water damage. The flooring was lifting, furniture & doors were warped and peeling and the door to my room didn't close properly to seal the right way. My feet were black on the bottom from the floor being so filthy. I loved this property so much that I was willing to deal with the room because the pool and grounds made up for it. Night two is where it went sour when I found multiple American cockroaches in my room. I know that Florida has bugs, but I was told these were not roaches, rather they were palmetto bugs that "don't lay eggs". They're the same. I was told this complaint occurs 4-5 x's/week. I know they exist, but I dont want my room infested with them. This discovery was at about 1:30 am. I contacted the front desk & the young man offered to relocate me to a different room in the same building. I declined because I'd already been told I'd have to vacate that building the next day. Who wants to move twice? I called Expedia to cancel the next 2 nights. Joe the mgr was not pleased that the night staff approved my request. He thought I should've been penalized. Bye Joe.
