I recently stayed at your hotel in room 3408 from Friday, March 8th. I’m writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the unacceptable customer service and the racial profiling I experienced during my stay. Upon check-in, the front desk informed me that guests receive two complimentary drinks per day at the pool bar. However, when my companions and I — all African-American men — arrived at the pool bar, the first question we were asked was, “Do you guys stay here?” I presented my room key and ID to confirm my stay. While I understand the need for security, the tone and approach felt unwelcoming and inappropriate. Later that night, as we returned to the hotel, a staff member physically grabbed my arm and said, “Hey, you don’t stay here.” Again, I showed my room key with the distinctive “E” symbol, yet there was no apology for the false accusation.

The area is nice. You’re in the heart of brickell city center. The only complaint is they need more sound proof windows and doors. You can hear all the city sounds, cars drag racing, police sirens, people shouting. Terrible place to sleep.
