Not your typical hotel

There are a lot of endearing qualities to this hotel. We just stayed one night and didn't have time to delve into it's history, but it obviously has a lot of history, or else it would not have been able to be exempt from modern ADA requirements. There are no elevators, so if your room is on the 3rd floor as ours was, you walk two flights of stairs with your luggage. My wife and I are able-bodied, but any physical disabilities would render most of the rooms in this hotel inaccessible. Our walk-in shower was smaller than one might expect, and the shower head was plumbed in such a way that the spray mostly hit the shower curtain covering its narrow entrance. I was happy with what we got; the inconveniences were overcome by the nostalgic aura that pervaded the place and the comforting setting in the midst of a neighborhood bustling with dog walkers, baby strollers, and joggers.

Close to the airport, comfortable bed Only issue is you can hear people talk in the next room. Not sound proof at all.

This is an older property but maintained well and is in the middle of Coral Gables with lots of City in short walking distance.

Very unwelcoming check in. The area doesn’t have any restaurants or anywhere to get a water or snack. Room was on the main floor by the check in desk. Seemed a little strange. Could hear people walking on the 2nd floor, doors banging all night.

Stayed for only one night prior to an early meeting. Check in was easy and attendant was courteous and helpful. Location was great, but an old building with poor soundproofing and noise from hall interrupted my sleep (I'm a light sleeper). It was a rare cold night in Miami and there was no heating (only a window air-conditioner with no heat option). Room had very basic, but functional amenities. Very clean. Pay-for-Park on street in front of hotel, but there was free street parking close by.

This hotel is reasonably priced, clean, convenient, and is within walking distance of a Target and a grocery store. I’ve stayed here four times and will stay here again in March.

We only stayed for one night and didn't really explore the area, but the neighbourhood is quite sparse, had a very industrial feel and I didn't notice many shops or restaurants within walking distance. The property itself is charming, clean, but it's definitely showing its age and lacks an elevator. The staff was fine, not overly friendly, nor rude and the room was sufficient and clean.
