We had the best time! Location was great. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The walk to the beach was short. Pool was fantastic and refreshing. Everyone there was friendly. Beach was great for walking! The master bed was very comfortable. View from the master bedroom was breathtaking. We all had the best time and would love to return to this location!

The condo was great! Perfect view!

Dealing with the actual condo management was fantastic! The property management is another story. There was a condo being renovated and they worked until past 9:30 a couple nights. Between that and a condo that had a dog barking (not a service animal) which they did nothing about..made the stay not as great as it should have been.

Great view from the balcony!

The ocean view from the third floor balcony is spectacular - you can see up and down the beach as well as the ocean. The pool is big and easily accessed with plenty of lounge chairs. Located next to a park to the north. LR recliners are nice and work. The master bedroom bed is VERY tall - we had to create a makeshift stool to get in it (I'm 5'4") so you can't just sit on the edge to get dressed, put on shoes, etc, No chair in that room. The second bdr has 2 twin beds very close together. You have to climb over one bed to get in to the other. No room for luggage, a chair and barely enough to get dressed. The closet was full of junk, unfolded linens . . .we just kept the doors shut. Bathrooms were small but clean when we checked in. Vertical blinds (which had to be closed at night) had several broken slats so we had to maneuver them shut. The other blinds on the north window were also broken. Ice maker has a leak. The Wi-Fi didn't work. The front door threshold is a big step in to the breezeway and is not well marked. unexpected if you don't live there. My sister missed the step on our first day, fell in to the breezeway and severely sprained her ankle. She spent our beach vacation with her foot elevated and iced, We reported all of this to the property management. They only text about the wifi thinking we didn't know how to use a QR code and password (my husband is in IT). Elevator was non-functional often - blocked by painters. Great views though!

Quaint New Smyrna unit with a fabulous view

We had a great time, but details like key codes and parking passes were out of date. Laundry room requires change, and there is no machine on site so getting quarters was more complicated than we expected. We also had some bulbs out when we arrived. All that said, location and the view were fabulous!

Great ocean view condo

Great location, excellent view, with access to the beach and nice park next door. Pool was great, though would be nice with a hot tub. The place definitely suited most of our needs, however, having 1 year olds, it wasn't the best in regards to being child proofed - windows with no screens, reachable dead bolt, chairs next to the balcony railings. Overall, really liked the place and would recommend it.

I suggest you find another condo

The local company was supposed to send us an email at check in time at 4. Most places send it earlier. We were flying so we didn’t see that the email never came. After several messages that went unanswered we finally got in after midnight so we really shouldn’t have been charged the first day. A refund would be nice. We were then given the wrong gate codes so other visitors kept having to let us in. Finally a nice person gave us the code on the 6 th day there. The rugs were disgusting dirty. We didn’t use the bath mat because it was so dirty The towels and washcloths in the closet were frayed, stained and old. They had dirty screens in the main bedroom closet so hanging clothes in there would get dirty. The outdoor chairs were rusty ruining several clothes. There was a hodgepodge of kitchen supplies that were thrown into drawers and closets They advertised colorful umbrellas and there were none There was no regular blender but the Bullet blender didn’t work. The toaster didn’t work well They advertise a charging station/clock but it didn’t work because it was behind the bed and you couldn’t get to it unless you crawl on the dirty floor and pull it out. The pillows were old and completely flat. Extra pillows had no pillow cases. The bed was very high and not comfortable. We travel quite a bit staying in condos and this was the worse Point East is a very nice, clean quiet resort that we loved but I would never stay in this unit

Point East Mold

Arrived at property early and was told we could go to the room by the condo staff. As we opened the door we were hit by the smell of mold. Just then Great Ocean staff called saying they were aware of the mold issue and needed to move us to a different but comparable place. So the short of it is that no one likes to have vacation plans disrupted at the very last minute (it was obvious this problem was around well before our day of arrival). However, the Great Ocean Condo person found us a new place quickly and it was comparable for sure--it was away from our friends staying at the other complex, but....the new condo was clean, quiet, nice pools and decent beach access. Small issue with WiFi and a clogged shower drain, but they worked through that quickly with us and the owner. A trip that started rocky turned out to be pretty good.
