One pool was shut down for maintenance. There was still some tape from a recent paint job on my smoke detector. The staff handled this as fast as humanly possible. Yeah! The thing that chaps my hide is the $50 per day BS "Resort Fee". This is for, and I quote: You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the property. Fees may include applicable taxes: • Resort fee: USD 50.85 per accommodation, per night The resort fee includes: • Concierge service • Faxes • In-room bottled water • In-room coffee • Phone calls We have included all charges provided to us by the property. I didn't use anything but the coffee on the list. Just build the damned fee into the cost of the room FFS. And you have to pay for everything on the TV, including music. Except for the live TV. A very enjoyable and well run place to stay, just be up front about the fees and don't nickle and dime us.

Absolutely amazing. I loved the arcade and the dining options! Such a beautiful hotel. The hot tub and the heated pool is to die for!!! And for how busy of a place it is, it’s was very quiet up in our room at night. Fantastic.

Room Issues and Check-In Problems Ruined My Stay

My stay at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino was frustrating from start to finish. Check-in at the self-help kiosk provided only a room key—none of the vouchers included with the resort fee. Already an inconvenient start, things worsened upon entering my assigned "non-smoking" room. Despite the hotel's claims of "state-of-the-art air purifiers" and "clean air rooms," I was hit with intense, suffocating stale smoke—embedded in every surface. The stale smoke immediately triggered a migraine. Though I spent only ten minutes in the room to call the front desk and request reassignment, the damage was done. Navigating back through the hotel's convoluted layout, I was relieved when a second room was assigned—clean, fresh, and truly smoke-free. But by then, the migraine caused by the overwhelming stale smoke had taken hold, lasting through the evening and preventing me from enjoying the resort amenities I had paid for. At checkout, the self-help kiosk offered no way to provide feedback. I requested my folio via email, expecting a receipt, but received an unintelligible file instead—disappointing to say the least. Though staff acted quickly to relocate me, the initial missteps—an incomplete check-in and a falsely advertised "clean air" room—ruined my stay. Guests sensitive to strong odors should be wary when booking. Had the first room truly been smoke-free, my experience would have been entirely different.
