Most of the state park is inaccessible to the public, meaning there are rarely any people on the beach for 2000+ feet in either direction. Even during busy weeks it’s common to be one of only a few people on the beach for over a mile.
2) Access to the gulf and a coastal dune lake- the home is located where a coastal dune lake meets the gulf. This makes for easy access to the lake for paddle boarding and fishing. The outfall (the place where the lake meets the gulf) is also a great place for kids to swim and play on days when the waves are too big.
3) Proximity to Grayton Beach, Seaside and Blue Mountain- Grayton Beach, home of the Red Bar, is a 15-minute walk by beach and a 5-minute bike ride. Seaside and Blue Mountain are a 10-15 minute bike ride. Seaside is the most famous community on 30A and is great for shopping, dining, tennis and more. Blue Mountain Beach is considered the locals beach and has great restaurants, shops and Blue Mountain Creamery. One of our favorite thing to do is walk to the Red Bard for dinner by beach.
