Don't stay here!

The hotel is completely under renovation and not even close to complete. It looks like it hasn't been renovated in 40 years. I'm not sure how they got an Occupancy Certificate from the City, as there are open wires and ceilings, everywhere. Depressed area, full of close storefronts ... ghetto, would be a kind word to describe the location. This hotel shouldn't be open, until renovations are complete.

They are doing an excellent job! It’s obvious that they are rebuilding after the hurricane. But our room was better than the pictures. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We always enjoy our stay at Lantern Inn. Rooms are updated, clean, and spacious. Ping was very welcoming and attentive when checking in. This place is our go to when we are visiting the area.

Very pleasant, comfortable and clean. Close to Hamel Park and restaurants. Everything is brand new inside the rooms, roomy, comfy bed and big TV mounted on the wall. Air conditioner is quiet and has a continuous fan. Kurig coffee machines in the room but no breakfast. It’s a great choice and reasonable price.

Clean Room

Room was clean and recently updated/modernized. Seems the property is continuing to receive improvements. Room was a bit musty and had to run the A/C to improve that. No real issues. They actually provided maid service after first night without asking. Most places do not do that these days.

Property was being remodeled, so a bit of construction materials in the back. However, it did not interfere with parking, and our room had just recently been completed. It was very clean and bright and tastefully designed.
