Fair, but nothing special for price.
I was put on the only floor (1st) that it appeared has not been updated. All the other floors above were bright and modernised, but the first floor is dark and dated with old carpets and depressing lighting. My room was clean and ok, but was some way down the corridors and at the side of the hotel with no view other than the side of other walls and a dark inner courtyard. The breakfast was basic/poor with apparently a new chef unable to cook bacon other than to resemble the texture of shoe leather. Check in was problematic as they were not sure if my allocated room 113 had been reallocated, even though I messaged ahead on the day to say that I was not arriving till the next morning (still fully paid for in advance). Took over 20min and some growling from me to get the key. Overall, hotel fair for a very short stay, but nothing special. Good location for railway station.

The room was clean and comfortable, and staff were polite and helpful. Only negatives were no safety grip in the bath/shower and a missing handle on a door in the corridor
Always recieve a warm welcome when i stay here, staff are very friendly.
Rooms are always spotlessly clean.
Hotel is directly across from Railway and bus stations which is extremely handy
The two ladies at the desk were very helpful. I had booked a double room for the night. Whilst checking in one of the ladies noticed I had a visual impairment so changed my room to a ground floor which was extremely helpful. She also completed a PEEP. This should be done in each hotel however it is rare. The room was beautiful and the bed amazing. Great service. Thank you ladies

Staff. We’re good,except for one who told my wife he was giving us an upgrade compared to the rooms we stayed in before this was a downgrade, however as I say staff were excellent
Great location for station.
Perfect for OAP like myself who cannot walk to far.
Value for money.
Young lady on reception was delightful on my arrival wish i knew her name.

Stayed one night as we had an early bus to catch the next day. Disappointed there wasn’t a fridge, or air conditioning (or fan) in the room. Room decoration tired, no towel rail (or hooks) or toilet roll holder in bathroom.
Hotel now charges for hotel parking (£10 a night) but it is cheaper to park in the multi story carpark 5mins walk away (£7 for 24hrs).
Also, bar shut at 10am which is earlier than we have experienced in other hotels.
Hotel was nice, however our room (Grampian Room) was very cold, we had to leave oil heater on bit could have been better with another one! Mould in ceiling too. Not very accessible for whhelchair user as reception staff not keen on bringing out ramp.

Good stay, not sure about upgrading to deluxe...
We had a good stay in a deluxe room. We stayed 2 nights and only interacted with 3 members of the staff - reception, bar and breakfast staff who just told us to pick a table and help ourselves. The deluxe room was spacious with lovely shower and bathroom but could have done with extra touches eg hooks for towels and robes by the shower, tissues, toiletries and adequate supply of loo roll. Not sure about housekeeping as the only indication they had been was the towels were folded in the bathroom, no clean mugs or bins emptied or bed made. All small things that didn't really spoil our stay but if they bothered to come in the room why not do a proper job.
