Tired, in all respects, city centre hotel with an entrance off an alleyway, that is being polite off New Street. Not really obvious or welcoming. On my visit only one lift working which worked - sort of. Internal room (no windows) thankfully for one night which was ok. Used the stairs, as lift only one not two was busy elsewhere, three was it(?) separate stairs cases to get down to the exit... and a walk in between each and a round of guess what's behind this door as route wasn't clearly signed or obvious.

Yes every thing good. It was clean tidy and very suitable for 2 night stay. Perfect location. A little noisy from other residents but nothing to complain about

Room was great but cool. Heater can’t be controlled and the entrance to the hotel was dark and dirty. Overall it’s a good place for what you pay.

I booked a room with twin beds for a 2 night stay. I got a bed with 2 twin mattresses joined together instead of 2 separate beds. The bathroom was good. We didn't have access to wifi as their system was down and would have completed repairs only the day after we left. For international travellers this was a major disadvantage. Also access to the hotel was another concern. The Uber driver had to drop us off at another street due to lack of access and we had to walk there with 4 luggages. The German Christmas market was also underway on the adjacent street that made the stay quite noisy.

This hotel is just off the predestinies Birmingham New Street City Centre, and it a minutes walk from the train station, upper mall entrance. Britania has a very unassuming entrance, Which is down an alleyway off from the High Street. Staff were polite and there is a member of staff on front desk. I was given a room on the 9th Floor! with only one lift working. This lift was very slow and would stop of and all floors to pick up other people, so getting to my room usually took around 5 mins. There are air conditioning units, apposed to radiators in the room, These units doubled up as a heat sauce, however once the units was turned off, the room would get cold very quickly. So was forced to wear jumpers and full attire throughout the night just to stay warm. Lastly, the room door kept sticking, so i had to forcibly push and pull it closed whenever i wanted the door closed. This method would be necessary when leaving the hotel every day, as if i just let the door close on it's own the room would not be locked or secure. Similarly i had to push door to entre room Some good points to note about my stay is that the double bed i slept in was very comfortable, and they gave me a room with an en-suite shower room which i requested. lastly, do to it's central location, both to Birmingham New Street City Centre and it's station, I did not have to walk or travel far to get to my destinations Finally, i would not recommend this hotel for stays longer then 1 night (i stayed for 2)

The hotel needs a bit of work on the inside. Lots of peeling paint and stains. Couldn't get into the room so had to change

Only 1 lift was working took ages to get to floor. Restuarant and bar not open as advertised. Wifi didnt work at all. Room was basic and very poir for the price. There was on constant smell of cannabis on our floor, which came in through the window, the hotel states no smoking.
