Hotel was in a convenient location to the train station although uphill but not that bad. Five minute walk. Close to restaurants and canals with shops and restaurants. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was big with bathtub and shower separate but shower was very small although water pressure was excellent. Get rid of the tub and make that a shower. No place to put toiletries in the shower which was tuff since shower is very tight. Nice breakfast and very very friendly staff. I would stay again.

Despite the construction in the lobby, the hotel was clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and accommodated us on a very early check in. The hamburgers in the restaurant were delicious! Some things that didn’t generate 5 stars was the house cleaning and the sounds of the hotel. We only had the room serviced twice with our 9 night stay and the first time they didn’t restock the toilet tissue so we had to ask for more and then the second time they left a big black garbage bag with garbage in it in the room. The shower had a door removed so water got everywhere and we could hear the bathroom being used from another room and could occasionally smell sewage. The window also didn’t seem sealed so was cold but was fine with the heat turned up and it kept our room cold. There also was no where besides the bar or restaurant to get water or ice which may be common in the UK but just something we looked for.

Comfortable room and good facilities. Only issue was the aircon/heater in room was really loud so had to turn it off when actually in room. Fine this time but would be issue in height of summer as loud roads would mean can’t open windows.

The young lady who booked us in made us very welcome, she was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, plenty of towels and bathrobes provided. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Great choice of food for breakfast, the staff in the restaurant couldnt have been more helpful or attentive with regards to ensuring that our childrens allergies were catered to, nothing was too much trouble, it was very reassuring. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every member of staff that we engaged with was polite, helpful and friendly, thank you all.
