Good location/shame about the room

Pros: It's location, just a 2 minute walk to the canalside and the barclaycard arena. Also not far from the Bullring and Jewellery Quarter
Cons: Clear communication and more bar staff to serve when people come back from the arena
Location: Lots of places to eat and drink
We arrived at hotel on 1st June, it was my husbands birthday and we were going to the barclaycard arena. Staff were ok but when we got to our room we found we had been given an easy access room. It would have been nice if we had been asked if this was ok on arrival. We were only staying the night so we made do, but it was disappointing, especially the bathroom. I did raise this with reception upon checkout and was told that I had booked an easy access room and that the receptionist on arrival should have confirmed this with us when we checked in. Firstly I didn't book an easy access room, neither my husband nor I needed an easy access room and secondly it was not confirmed by the receptionist on arrival.

Concert stopover

Perfect location for Barclay card arena. Large clean nicely furnished rooms. Will stay again.

Comfortable but can be noisy at weekends

Hotel nicely situated in a good location in the City Centre, within walking distance of all tourist attractions. I opted for a higher floor and despite having double glazed windows and the highest floor (7th), noise from the downstairs nightclub next door still could be heard. It is a shame as all other aspects of the hotel are excellent. If you want less noise, ask for the high floor at the back of the building.
