The room was clean and comfortable but had an issue with the shower tray leaking onto the bathroom floor, leaving a puddle of water and a soaking wet floor towel. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fantatsic with plenty of food and very nice bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, beans, tomatoes and hash browns along with cereal, toast, pasties, pancakes etc. I have, however, knocked off a star for the appalling lifts. One of the three was out of service and the two remaining (the lifts are also far too small) could not cope with the number of people at breakfast and check out time. We were on the 8th floor and every lift that stopped was already full. A woman waiting with us said she'd been there for 25 minutes! We ended up having to carry heavy bags all the way down the stairs tocheck out. Even then, reception is on the 1st floor and there's no way down to the exit on ground without using the lift!. It also wasn't helped by staff using the lifts with large trollies preventing guests from getting in. Surely there should be separate staff lifts?
