Good budget hotel for a night our or local event

Budget friendly hotel, for the price it was fine for one night. Location isn't great as it is right on the main road and i was woken multiple times by traffic.

Hotel staff were excellent without exception. Although a budget hotel staff were alert to our needs. The room was small but clean and the bed and shower were very comfortable.

I will give it a 1 star.

We stayed over on Monday 27th January and the room was okay at best. The single bunk bed above the double bed had a syringe, blood on the quilt and was full of rubbish. The single bunk bed wasn't made and there was no brewing up stuff. We had to keep going down to the front desk anytime we wanted to access our room as our keycards wouldn't work. There was no lock on the toilet room door and it didn't stay shut. The staff at the front desk were lovely.

Disappointing customer service

Didn't actually get to stay as storm Eowynne struck and we couldnt travel. My score is based on my contact with hotel and reservations which was very unhelpful. Wasn't after a refund but just to change my dates. I understand they have terms and conditions on bookings but a little flexibility and quite frankly a bit of understanding of the situation would have been acceptable.
