Due to a problem at passport control in Birmingham Sunday Airport I missed my connections to return to Bournemouth without having to pay extra so I decided to pay £20 to stay the night in Livery Street. Same hostel more upgrades and another name.

Disliked: Room comfort

Needed a bed to get my head down with my son as we were visiting for a University open day. The cleanliness and quality of the hotel itself was ok for the price. However, the comfort was not, paper thin walls and other guests playing music until 0300am followed by noisy trains directly opposite in the morning meant an awful nights sleep. Plus room was too hot and the heating system was not working properly and no windows opened.
Facilities were as expected but there was a mix up on assigned beds on both nights of my stay which was inconvenient and a fundamental part of a booking. Staff were polite and eventually resolved the situation.
Initial communication prior to arrival was digital. Staff were very hospitable and accommodated me needing to store a bag before check-in. Very friendly and polite staff and the hostel seemed popular as a resting place for people who were out late at night on the weekend.
Awful. Window pane missing, walls paper thin and music playing all night until 7am. Shared bathroom was very dirty, and doors looked kicked in - could not lock them. Booked 2 nights, had to leave after the first as absolutely no sleep and extremely poor condition.
Excellent in wvery waym the room was spacious, quiet and clean. The bed was super comfy and the staff were lovely. Amazing value

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I didn’t like it because we didn't go, I tried and tried calling you for 3 day's all day, user busy and I wrote to you to cancel it by the 6th May, no reply and now I've lost my money
The staff at the check-in wasn’t really nice,
Also I booked a private room with private bathroom & I didn’t received a free towel like there was in the order!
The bed in my room was with red stains it was so disgusting (I found this out just in 23:00 cause I was coming back from a concert) so they moved me room but I needed to unpack everything and it wasn’t very convenient- and they didn’t even give me compensation!
I’m used to sleep in dorms but I booked this room to treat myself for my birthday so I was very disappointed and I rather add more money and sleep in hotel
But if we ignore the mistake the room was nice overall and it’s 15min from arena utilta if you are going to concert!
Great stay. It was in a perfect position to the Utilita Arena. In fact, we visited Birmingham to see Tate McRae. Room was clean, pillows were a little too thin but bed was comfortable. No complaints, it was a great stay for the price.
