The Place is conveniently located near the train station. The staff are warm, welcoming and had plenty of ideas for things to do and see. We received a complimentary room upgrade upon check in which was lovely. The room and bathroom was very spacious with high ceilings, large windows and it had a mystery theme. The bathroom also features a large soaker tub and double shower heads. It was also quiet. We highly recommend this hotel.
This is one of the best located hotels in Edinburgh you are generally within 20 mins walk to everything. Perfect location. Very much appreciated the free late check out and upgrade to the grand and spacious room. A very clean large room, bathroom and well equipped , which enhanced our stay and was a nice surprise.
Great location everything within walking distance and plenty of shops and restaurants near by.
Lovely clean hotel and friendly staff would highly recommend and will definitely return.
It would have been good to know there was no lift. Lots of stairs. Cashless bar and reception. Only snacks in the hotel were small bag of peanuts. The room was too hot.bed not that comfortable but too. Was big. No bath. Plenty hot water. Breakfast tasted great but service slow.
Friendly arrivals by the staff. Great opportunity for a short and sharp break away.
