Always Carry Your Hotels.com Invoice

I booked 2 nights with Hotels.com and When I returned the second day I found my belongings locked in the rook and my key did not work. Shanee, thee receptionist at the desk told me I was not registered for the second day and wanted me to pay for it. She was quite insistent and rather rude. Fortunately I was carrying my Hotels.com invoice showing two days. She said it didn't matter because her computer say one day. I called Hotels.com and spoke to Sharif who was able to straighten it out. But she also gave him a hard time and hung up on him twice. Finally she said she found it in her computer but still fought with both Sharif and me for over 40 minutes. I also found a roach in my room which I gave to Shanee at the desk.

After staying one night we found the room lacked adequate ventilation, the water in the shower irritated our eyes, the “breakfast” was disappointing as there was no fruit, oatmeal, nothing that is healthy. We checked out after one night but is still being charged for parking and doubt we will see any refund as the front desk person upon checkout seemed to be indifferent to our complaints. We prepaid for four nights with Expedia.

Great stay

Was only there for 2 night stay but everything was great! Room was clean and bed and furniture was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. We had a small issue with the shower and it was fixed immediately. Would recommend Hampton inn to anyone.

The toilet overflowed they came to repair it but it would not flush they would not change my room -the shuttle was late and did not mention a charge and the driver changed the price several times so I called an uber

Randy, the new employee who checked me in, stated that my payment to Expedia was just a “hold” and not a payment. I had a receipt from Expedia, but he said that he did not need to see it. Randy then proceeded to charge me for the stay and at a rate higher than I had paid with Expedia. Luckily, the morning concierge was able to confirm and correct the mistake. I didn’t get her name, but she was experienced and very nice. On a separate note, there was hair in the shower and by the sink from the previous guest in my room, upon arriving. Also, the A/C air had an on and off again aroma of urine, like it was wafting up from the sidewalk outside and in through the vents of the A/C unit under the window.. A daily morning wash-down of the sidewalks around the building may be worth considering. All that aside, the bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. I actually slept well.

I would suggest you confirm with the hotel that you actually have the room you booked prior to arrival. I booked a double queen as I was traveling with my teenage son for spring break. I checked in without issue as I was told the manager was needed because "they didn't know what to do" (front desk associate was a trainee). I get my keys and go to the room to find a single king bed. I go back downstairs to the front desk, and the female front desk associate asks to assist me. I explain the situation and she pulls up my account and as she's laughing, she says the third party (expedia) double booked the rooms and I got what I got. She said there's nothing she could do but offered a cot which I refused as my son is 6'3 and 300lbs. She continues to laugh and says well are you sure because we'll be out of cots soon too. If I ever had to stay here again I would just book directly, but I would only stay there if I had no other option.
