This hotel needs seriously updating. Very worn. No extras at all like tissues or shampoo. Staff were lovely though.

Hotel is in a good location. Our basement room was disappointing in that the bathroom door didn't close properly and the soap dispenser fell off the wall in the shower when used. I didn't like that the shower head was imbedded high on the wall and no way to manouvre it.
Our dirty coffee cups were not replaced nor the coffee / milk replenished.
The room in which I was allocated was far from the description and photos listed in Hotels.com.
My double room was on the very top floor and had a very musky smell. The walls had evidence of damp and the window which was a dormer didn't open fully and the blinds didn't close fully. There were damp patches on the walls and ceiling.
The duvet and pillows were lumpy and also had a musty smell and were stained. The carpet was dirty and hadn't been hoovered properly and there was Insufficient storage for clothes.
The shower was the worst I have experienced in any hotel. It had very little power and it was either far too hot or cold. I didn't have a shower in the morning due to lack of power and heat. I've had better showers on military bases and hostels. Many of the tiles were cracked and fragments of a tile fell off when I showered upon arrival.
I have uploaded photos as evidence. Unfortunately I have no way of providing evidence of the smell.
I know prices in the city rise when a concert is on at the OVO Hydro however I had hoped for a basic standard of cleanliness and service. Not being able to shower is unacceptable.
The Sandyford is well located but the room I stayed in was dated. Comfortable enough bed, and decently appointed en-suite.
There isn't a lift, which may be important to some people.

Great price. And still quite comfortable and clean.
No black out curtains room was very bright during evening due to street lights, and quite noisy due to scaffolding being removed on building in early hours. Other than those two small things was a lovely staff with friendly staff. Would visit again.
