The hotel is close to the airport and extremely noisy. The room windows have poor insulation; they are old single-pane glass. I was also placed in a room next to a bridge, just a few feet from heavy traffic. The room does not have individual air conditioning. The system is centralized and was not working. I contacted the hotel and was told someone would come to turn it on, but no one did. Later that night, I called both hotel phone numbers several times and received no response.

Very old fashioned and rooms needed updating also very very noisy and didn’t feel secure in our room. There was loads of people letting themselves in the doorway outside our room and playing the piano at 2 in the morning not good after a long flight

Had a LOVELY stay here while in town for the marathon. The team is kind, responsive, and accommodating. The pizza is delicious. The bedding is luxurious. Highly recommend.

They switched me to their sister property which was a total let down, roosters crowing everywhere at 5am, after parking only that was impossible we had to park 3 blocks away.. we were told we could go to the main property to enjoy pool and stuff but we booked the place with the pool.. bathroom was so tiny you can’t even use the toilet without turning sideways this was a total joke!!

The property is very misrepresented. It comprises converted apartment buildings, so your room door is a standard hollow-core interior door with a massive gap underneath. Other guests conversing in the next room sound as though they are sitting next to you. As your room is essentially an individual room within an apartment, you have no temperature control as the AC unit is central. The room was hot and humid. The state of the room was horrendous. Falling plaster on the ceiling, doors and trim coming apart, rusted pluming fixtures, etc. Surprisingly, it seemed clean and the girl at the desk was pleasant, but that’s where the positives end. At the time we booked, the ratings were overwhelmingly positive which make me wonder if they are somehow getting fake reviews. The price we paid for 1 night was 200USD which is the price you would pay for a hotel like Hampton Inn, HI Express, or Comfort Inn. As a long time hotels.com user, I have never encountered a case of misrepresentation like this before on this platform. This was a $50/night backpackers hostel experience that was represented as a 3 star hotel experience and charged accordingly.

Our stay at Miami River Inn was extremely disappointing. Communication was nearly impossible—there are multiple phone numbers listed, yet none connect to a real person. We left multiple voicemails and never received a call back. The listing states that the rooms have air conditioning, but there was no AC in our room. On top of that, the overhead light and ceiling fan didn’t work at all. The bathroom was so small that only one person could fit inside at a time. The curtains provided zero light blocking; the parking lot lights were so bright that I could have easily read a book at night. Sleep was nearly impossible. The bed itself felt like sleeping on the floor, and the bed frame was very creaky. To make matters worse, the staff we did interact with were less than friendly and not helpful. Overall, the property did not match its description, basic amenities were missing or broken, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. I would not recommend staying here. Only reason it gets 2 stars is because it was at least clean.

They need to offer coffee and tea in the morning; there’s nowhere close by, and it would have made the stay much better. The hotel was nice. The bed was was too soft, but doable for one night. There was a couple was one child, around 6 or 7, that screamed and carried on late at night, then started around 4 AM. Other than that, good stay. Front desk people are very slow, and don’t seem to care much.

Staff was really friendly at the hotel - restaurant staff was polite . The grounds of the hotel are awesome very unique experience . The rooms have a bit of deferred maintenance with peeling paint, dirty walls etc. once maintenance gets a handle on that, the place will be stellar.
