Great location!

It was our first time in Tampa and when booking I wasn’t sure what the area around the hotel was going to be like. So close to the airport and some great food options. We were pleasantly surprised with how clean and nice everything around us was.

Unexpected enjoyment

Was not expecting much (lots of business travel, most hotels are fine but not great), but this one is a gem. Staff are constantly cleaning to keep up with guests bringing in sand, water, etc, and it helps to keep the environment clean enough for my wife's high standards. Breakfast was excellent, something for everyone. Beds were comfortable and our room was reasonably sized for a family of 5.

It was close to the airport and the parking was convenient. It would be nice if there were more dining options available, within walking distance, but that is a matter not under your control. The breakfast was good but could you add more fresh fruit? Generally a good short term stay.

Most important was staff did not speak ENGLISH!!!!! They pushed their phone in my wife's face to speak English, and the phone would change to SPANISH!!!! The TV only got 3 channels. We went to the ball game on Saturday, and I was rushed to the ST. Joseph Hospital Emergency room. Doctor recommended that we go home on Sunday. No refund for Sunday.

No one was going the extra mile!

The property was nice and clean amenities were good. The staff definitely lacked customer service skills. I got a small cut at like 6am asked the front desk if they had a first aid kit or a bandaid Staff replied no! That seems not ok..not sure if staff was too lazy to check or if really no first aid kit. Very disappointed with overall staff .
