Great central location and affordable. Budget hotel standard but lots of potential. The Brentwood needs lots of TLC and a deep clean. The room I was in had a strong unpleasant smell, stained carpet, furniture and walls. After a clean and purchasing an air freshener in was tolerable.

Experience wasn’t so great - room requires a revamp. Water struggled to flow and there was a rusted nail protruding from the bathroom wall. Caught a glimpse of a tiny roach on the bed… However, WiFi was stable and staff was polite.

We felt unsafe and would suggest it would be a good idea to have an emergency number to phone. No staff about except check in when he changed the room from the number we were sent beforehand with the code, no explanation and we had to go next door looking for it ourself. From 3 am there were people running along the corridor, banging on doors and shouting. A woman was shouting followed by list of arguing and shouting from several quarters. When we were sure everyone had settled we crept out and left before 8 am. We noted the front door was not locked.
