Very good but could be better

Car park is very small and I had to pay for a multi-story. The breakfast wasn't great, the black pudding was like a brick! Hotel itself is very nice and the room. Great location

Brilliant

This was an impromptu stay as we had a power cut and needed to have guaranteed access to wifi in the morning. The room was a suite with kitchen facilities (hob, sink, microwave and fridge) and was very well equipped. As I'd booked on the drive there at 9pm the sofabed wasn't made up when we checked in, but housekeeping arrived at the door within seconds of us reaching the room and made the bed up quickly. A great sleep for all, and a lovely shower in the morning. Would choose this hotel if I needed to stay in the city overnight again.

Enjoyed a fine meal in Chop restaurant and were served by a lovely Romanian girl. Can’t remember her name but she was excellent and deserves a mention in this review.

On this occasion, not a great experience!

I stay in hotels away from home due to job role and don't usually have a problem, the little things I am quite happy to overlook minor details, plus I have stayed at the Sandman Signature, Aberdeen on several occasions. However, my recent stay was not a pleasant experience due to several reasons: 1. the cups and spoons were dirty. 2. there was a lot of dark long hair on the bathroom floor - I have short blond hair 3. the temperature / weather has been warmer than usual, the room has no air conditioning with only a very small fan available in the room which was a much use as a chocolate fireguard. 4. there was no water available in the room, particularly with the increased temperatures of recent weather. 5. there was very little soap available in the dispenser at the sink. 6. there was no body wash / soap available in the shower, which obviously hadn't been checked. It's the little things that make a big difference, particularly when anyone is staying away from home and away from their own comforts.

No person to assist with luggage at check in and check out. This property offers room service on request and no offers of refills or towels in between. Front staff complained of understaffing and being fully booked at all times. Breakfast was great as was their restaurant staff. Front desk appears tired and overworked. If a person doesn't want to work, they should stay home.

Not returning any time soon

The room had not been cleaned properly. The fans didn’t work and we had to wait a day to get another. The night receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. However, when I complained at check out we received a partial refund. Receptionist was really efficient.
