Nice hotel , freshly decorated , very clean

Everything was great but the breakfast was pretty poor .

Great view from the penthouse!

We had a lovely stay-upgraded to the penthouse which was very nice with lovely views of the pier & seafront. Hotel has a fantastic location. Staff were very helpful & friendly so will definitely stay at the Amsterdam again if we are in Brighton. Thank you for our upgrade it was a lovely surprise after a very challenging week at work!

Close to amenities but disappointing facilities

Pros: Accessibility to Brighton
Cons: Communication to guests. And proper compensation for lack of facilities.
Location: The beach, restaurants, lanes, pavilion, pier, sea life centre and marina are all within sensible walking distance.
Room 16 - Twin room was too small for two people to move around in. One of the beds partially blocked bathroom door meaning You onstantly knocked your legs coming out, especially at night. There was an issue with the hot water for 70% of our stay which resulted in cold water to wash hands and have showers for 1 night and half the next day. Compensation was poor at £10.00. Continental breakfast good and service good too. Cleanliness was generally good but whole stay was marred by the cold showers and need to buy antibacterial wipes to wash hands. Also experienced Early morning fire alarm when toast burnt which resulted in nearly naked evacuation. Not a pleasant experience to wake up to.
