The hotel is in a decently convenient area but is extremely outdated, it feel like a WW2 experience. It was the cheapest option and I got what I paid for. The staff were lovely! The room was acceptable (though rather hot as the window was too small to have any effect haha) the continental breakfast was fitting to the rest of the experience... Overall, I'd stay stay again in a pinch... But I'd hapilly pay 30 quid more for a Premier Inn...

Reasonable place to stay in central Cambridge

Better than I thought it would be; a rather old hotel in need of a bit of a facelift, but clean with helpful staff and well-located; included breakfast and restaurant available, both good.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent meals in the restaurant and very good value. Good continental breakfast. Hotel very clean. Would stay there again.

I liked the flexibility of where you could eat in a morning or evening. The staff were friendly. There was a very small amout of staff sometimes the wait to be seen by reception or at the bar was longer than i would have expected . The room i has was clean and tidy facilities overall were good .

The hotel itself is nice, but the internet in our room was terrible (3rd floor). Given that internet is essentially for international travelers without cell data, this added a lot of unnecessary stress. Want to plan the day and get directions, no. The property is dated, although I stay when prices are low when I book last minute, it’s not value for money. they have a habit of asking for a deposit by way of physical card and don’t accept contactless apple or other method. Nowhere in the policy states they only accept physical cards, and to be threatened by an arrogant on a power trip manager that my booking will be cancelled and not refunded unless I can produce a physical card and not they don’t take contactless Apple Pay. The bathrooms have rust all around and the only thing added post 1988 are the telephones in the rooms, Food is overpriced even at discount rates, with better quality 200yards away, but if you don’t pay £15 deposit by way of hard physical your booking is cancelled, I guess it’s better than having to leave your goat as a deposit dating back to when it was built as technology has not caught up.

The accommodation was really close to the city centre - the room was spacious a- it might have looked a little dated but nonetheless it was clean and tidy - would definitely use again

Very affordable rates, nice continental breakfast included. Right by Jesus Green, a lovely field by river. Bring your swimsuit and goggles for the 90 metre long pool very near hotel. Just £6 entry to a unique old Lido.

I liked the atmosphere of the hotel. The bedroom was very comfortable. The hotel was perfectly situated near the Cam and with an easy walk to the city.

Great location but hazardous stairs throughout.

The hotel is very old and has accessibility problems which make it hazardous in places. There is no lift and the stairs are worn carpet, uneven and not fully hand railed. The plus to the hotel is its fabulous location and views. My room smelt of drains which wasn’t great. Staff were friendly
