Good again

Like everything nowadays more expensive with less services. Over £100 a night and that doesn't include a parking space. Used to be a free coffee machine available all day but not anymore. Nice hotel though staff very pleasant but was invited to pay for my room a second time on arrival had to stand my ground and say id already paid

The beds were comfortable, excellent breakfast, nice staff. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a horrible odor. Wondering if it is a construction flaw- there’s no caulking in the floor tiles - and they get wet. Staff said they would send maintenance- but nothing changed. Had to keep bathroom door shut the entire time otherwise it was unbearable.

Everything about this was OK - did the job. However it was further out from the middle of town that we had thought and a walk to a bus stop down a bike path that we chose not to do in the dark coming back. Our room was too hot

OK rooms but tired and breakfast poor no coffee!

Generally OK, breakfast terrible. Both coffee machines were out of milk so was not able to get coffee, selection of food pretty poor, and the fruit was rank and clearly tinned. Beans were cold, cutlery and plates difficult to find clean ones! Bedroom clean but shower room tired cracked tiles, and mould on the thick silicone sealent, generally badly cheaply maintained.

Arrived in our room,cold,heating control not working. Staff organised another, this time cold and heating stuck at 16. Moved again to obviously refurbished room where heating worked. Full marks to staff,lady from Lithuania and Sam on front desk, who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. But come on Holiday inn and spend some money on maintenance.

Where to start. We checked in and payed, then were told that the twin room that we had requested was not available. The person on reception was excellent and found us a family room with a discount for the inconvenience. So she gave us a refund which was very good. Has it was booked has B&B I asked about breakfast which started at 7:0 but as we had to be at the Papworth hospital by then we wouldn’t get any but we could have a bag to put fruit and muffins I that was ok. The room was clean sparkling white sheets and towels. The second bed was a bed settee which seemed to occupy the whole room when pulled down. I found the bedding to be very cold and didn’t warm up until two hours before we were up again. We ate in the hotel the food wasn’t up to much it was ok but not great. So all in all not great at all. The staff were kind and helpful. If we had have paid full price I would have been very disappointed as it was it was ok.
