Dead wasps in room (and live ones), low ceiling (boyfriend of 6feet banged his head HARD), no bath, no lift and was on 4th floor. Staff (Liam) was extremely friendly and helpful but I can't recommend this B&B to anyone until they at least fix their lift. Not only did my partner injure himself, to even be able to get a small cup of water or ice for his head, we had to run up and down 4 flights of stairs. This is extremely dangerous and inconvenient, and for the price of a room I can't say it's worth it. There were dead wasps everywhere in the room when we arrived, and more joined us (I found one swimming in the toilet). The breakfast was okay. If you struggle to walk or go upstairs I would definitely not recommend this. The only redeeming point was that Liam was absolutely lovely and helpful throughout the stay.

HI Helen,Thank you for the recent review.I am sorry that you found wasps in the bedroom. With it being summer and with open windows, we do sometimes get insects flying in. We do advertise the bedroom amenities and the lift situation online and offer help with all luggage as a result of the broken lift.I am sorry on this occasion we did not get the experience right for you.

Excellent service in this hotel. walking distance to main shopping street. Really good cooked breakfast with Scottish sides of haggis, square sausage etc

Beautiful well kept hotel. Fantastic staff who cant do enough for you. Great service and food and my room was just perfect. I will visit again.

Poorly appointed room in the basement. Very little light, staff using stairs directly outside the window. Very disappointed as room was £220!!!!

Dear Anonymous, I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us due to the room you were allocated. Unfortunately these rooms are not appreciated by some due to the fact you are in the basement but are essential due to the accessible bathroom and lower level.
