The old swan is central for the pump room,valley park and near to Betty's tearoom and the shops. Breakfast was excellent. Pity the lift was temporarily broken,had to use stairs.

This is a grand annd old fashioned hotel. Staff are friendly, the food was pretty good (we ate at the restaurant one evening). My main criticism was that it was quite draftyThere’s lots of onsite parking, which is charged at £12 per night.

It was so exciting to be at the Old Swan Hotel, where Agatha Christie disappeared for 11 days when she needed a break from life! The hotel is lovely and the rooms clean. It was clean enough I felt comfortable to use the tub! Note: the hotel is over 100 years old; if you're American, that ricketyness may be a turnoff (eg, peeling paint, creaking floors), but I think it was the charm. The staff did their best, but they definitely needed more staff for the hotel bar.
