unresponsive, I just wasted a paycheck.

The hotel claims you must call if you will arrive after 5pm. I called daily for 3 days ahead of my trip and was never able to reach a person, so we weren't able to stay because i got to town at 5:30pm. I called hotels.com to get a refund since paying $700 for a night in a hotel that I wasn't able to access or use is absurd. So far, that refund has not been processed a month later. I understand the 5pm policy due to short staff, but I cannot understand no one answering the dozens of calls I tried at both numbers associated with the location. Can't recommend unless you'll be in town well before 5, I guess.

Tiny room, no furniture, bathroom sink no place to put anything. Breakfast was very good. Would not recommend the accommodations though.

My stay was absolutely lovely! Roman and everyone was very sweet and friendly, my bed was super comfortable and cozy and the location was perfection! I was able to easily walk around to everywhere I wanted to go

The bed was comfy. But the room (#4) had no light without allowing all to see in. The fan did not look like it had been cleaned in years. Coffee was not put out at 7am but rather at various times. The bathroom had stains, missing grout and the sink water trickled. The TV signal kept cutting out - 20min at a time. Took almost 5 mins to fill my water bottle. A lot of money for a very lacklustre room.

It's definitely an older building, like most of the buildings in key West. So don't expect sparkly new accommodations. But the property is adorable, compact but lovely. And the staff is tremendous.

Ramon was helpful with eating suggestions. Continental breakfast was simple and fresh. Check out the bike rental at Eaton Bike prior to renting the local bike at the Heron House

Lovely place. Late checking in was easy peezy! Lovely pool on a full moon night. Bed was awesome. Walking distance to everything.Missed breakfast as I had to leave early to catch ferry to the Dry Tortugas. I’m sure it was wonderful. Sure needed a cup of coffee! I’m from a small community that has zero parking issues. That was probably the only issue for me, my fault for assuming there was onsite parking!

For the price I was not impressed. Our room had broken blinds, there was a thick coat of dust on the curtains, and the mirror needs to be replaced. The sheets were also scratchy and the bed was lumpy. I would not stay here again, when the price rivals other hotels with way better rooms and breakfast.

This was a great first stay for our group on Key West. Roman is the absolute best host! You have a real gem here! He always remembered all 10 names in our group, gave great recommendations and always had a smile on his face. We were actually bummed to wake up Saturday and Sunday mornings and realize that we would not be seeing him at the front desk. Location of the house is close walk to bakery, dive bar, Dante’s restaurant/pool, and not a bad jaunt from Duval Street as well. The pool was a perfect temp for our mid-Feb trip, with some sun, mostly shade during the day. Patio area for plenty of seating. And the continental breakfast with coffee was a perfect start to our day. We will definitely consider staying here again!!

The rooms and the main lobby were very dated. We didn't know that there were two Heron Houses in Key West. We had a friend that thought she would be staying at the same place. The Heron House on Frances Street was not as good as the one on Simenton. The staff was very good and Roman at the desk was extremely helpful.
