The only thing I wish they had was a local dining guide. The bartender was great and gave us a couple places that were walking distance and food not tourist traps.

Great place to stay

The hotel was very historical in feel, the staff was very generous pleasant and helpful. We had a minor issue upon arrival but they managed to resolve the situation with elegance and upgraded our room to a beautiful suite free of charge which was totally awesome. If we are ever back in the Niagara area we will definitely be staying there again. Also it is literally a 5 minute walk to the Niagara Falls state park and if you want to go to the casino it’s a short 5 min walk there also.

The hotel is quite dated and hasn’t been renovated in years. The rooms have a strong, unpleasant odor, likely from previous smoking, despite being non-smoking rooms. The carpets and curtains are old and stained. The only positive aspect is the great location, just a couple of minutes from Niagara Falls Park.

I was worried about the neighborhood in front of the hotel, but just around the corner are restaurants and the Niagra Falls park is right there.

Property was nice but very aged. The rooms are considered “smart rooms” meaning if no motion is detected, then all electrical is shut off. So your phones etc will not fully charge during the night. Overall the stay was okay, rooms are aged and our carpet was stained and torn. Location is great though, close to Rainbow Bridge to crossover to Canada and close to casino if that’s your thing.
