This is a nice enough hotel with decent sized rooms and a good bar. However, it is an hour's walk, a 35 min bus ride or £25 cab ride away from T5, on a trading estate. Lots of airline staff stay here, having been brought from the airport in coaches. Considering the extra cost of cabs (the black cab queue at Heathrow can be long) and inconvenience of getting there I would stay in a closer hotel next time. I think the distance from the termial should be made clearer in the listing.

Unfortunately the pool closed when we checked in and was closed for the whole day on New Years Day. Couldn’t connect phone to television and YouTube doesn’t work however receptionist was able to upgrade our room to executive room which was Great with access to executive lounge. Room was bigger and better and felt more comfortable and exciting for New Year’s Eve. Food at the gallery was nice, had lunch and dinner there. Staff great and good food, manager offered us free desserts which was the best dessert.

Bed hard and couldn't get HOT water to shower with, only tepid. Otherwise staff friendly and polite. Pleasant room.

Disappointing stay

Stayed at T5 for a special occasion- wanted to make use of the bars and restaurants. Enjoyed drinks at the river bar- quite expensive but nice ambiance. Limited bar service, had to wait around a fair bit. Then went on to Todiwalas which had been prebooked. At no point were we told that it was a set menu- quite expensive and not what we would have chosen. After complaining we were told by the Manager they would 'help us out'. Not the right attitude at all. Food was not good- very disappointing as usually both food and service is of a high standard. Noone really interested in our complaints. We were also then charged for items we had not ordered- we didn't want desert so the manager said he would bring us out something to try anyway- which we were subsequently charged for. Ruined the entire occassion for us. Next day on checkout issues with the bill as apparently we had not paid for the room when they had been paid for. Painful 40 min check out process, no fault of our own. No sense of customer service and definitely won't visit again. Shame that Cyrus Todiwalas name is associated with the service here.
