This hotel is good value for its location. Rooms are not massive but completely adequate. I had a room with an outside area, but this was on the ground floor and was not at all private. Would be great for a smoker, though. Wifi good, bed comfortable, very quiet, couldn't really hear any aircraft noise, food was reasonable.

After a long drive it would be nice to be greeted at check-in but the guy at the desk on the Sunday evening was sullen and unfriendly. I don't like the fact that if your room is in the annexe (The "Stables") you have to walk outside and up some steep stairs to get to it. On one occasion I left my towels in the bath to be changed only to find they had been draped over the radiator by the cleaner and left there. However the room was comfortable, the food was good and other staff were friendly.

Clean and very well appointed hotel close to Heathrow. Lovely room but expect some noise this close to the airport. Overall well pleased.

Nice hotel close to LHR T5, 7 minutes drive

Ebookers are are fault here - room advertised at one price but was billed at another. Then once booked the room price dropped. Be aware when using Ebookers and compare room costs to other sites.

A little Gem of a Hotel, in easy reach of Heathrow

Pros: Customer service, Reception Staff friendliness, Lots of Free Parking (I didn't come by car though), Easy to get to, Close to Terminal 4, High quality
Cons: I cannot think of anything.... it was perfect in every way.
Location: Terminal 4 at Heathrow is close by
I booked this Hotel to stay overnight and be ready for my flight from Terminal 4 the next morning. I could not be more delighted. I previously stayed here about 5 years ago and the vast renovations to create a really beautiful Hotel since my last stay is breath-taking. I arrived late at night so the lighting and reception area was all lit up making it look really POSH. Katie on reception greeted me in at night and next morning, saw me out having booked my Taxi. A bit expensive at £20 but the service was good and the driver was very friendly. I may shop around next time for a lower cost Taxi. Breakfast was £8.00 and was in a really nicely laid out restaurant with a friendly reception. I only have a Continental Breakfast these days but the choices were vast and many. My Room was very clean, well laid out and everything worked. The Large Double Bed was really comfortable and I couldn't ask for more. I will make a point of booking here from now on, each time I fly from Heathrow, because I was so impressed.

Warm, clean & friendly hotel.

Pros: Location & cost was good for our visit. There seemed to be live music and a party happening, there was a good atmosphere around the hotel.
Cons: The rooms were slighty noisy, we could here people moving around in he corridor.
Location: We went to Thorpe Park for a great day out. The hotel was in the perfect location to get there without any hassle.

Nice hotel

Nice modern rooms, good location and free parking. I did not like the double bed as it was not really a double bed but two singles joint together and very uncomfortable as you could feel the gap. Everything else was good.

Ideal for Heathrow

Easy to find, good location for Heathrow T5 (BA flights) Free ca rparking and wifi. As a business traveler all these factors are important for me. I went into Central London for dinner, the journey was a little convoluted and the local taxi cab company appeared to take advantage of the short journey from the airport to the tube station at T5 by charging GBP 15 for a 5-minute journey

Great location for an early flight

The Stanwell is a good place to rest your head if you have an early departure from Heathrow either Terminal 5 or Terminal 4. OK, they don't provide a shuttle bus, but a taxi won't cost you too much or, as I did, book a car park place. I didn't use the restaurant, arriving too late and leaving before breakfast, but it looks good; next time I'm flying early I must get to the hotel in time for dinner! My room was obviously a modernised old room, judging by the high ceiling, but it's very well done and was quite comfortable without being "outstanding".
