Lovely cosy room overlooking the bay. Very comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. We did not have breakfast as only normally have toast and it’s a lot to pay for just toast. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Convenient for the town.

Building is beautiful, staff were really friendly for check in/out. Great location. We had a comfort room and the bed is quite small. The room smelt weird. We had a tight turn around from check in to our planned entertainment so were unable to talk to reception about the issue.

I stay here quite a bit and this time was excellent. Huge suite with two bedrooms each with tv and chairs etc. Excellent breakfast overlooking the sea. Nice swim in the quiet pool. Friendly service.

I’m don’t want to complain with staff that I found dining area comment was made when I walked though to entrance it was close to lift from our room and did get looks up and a bit just to let you know never ever judge a a book from its cover as the old saying person stay should excepted no mater what they look like and we should be treat no different I can say their was 1 fella their was so kind and friendly on that note my stay I was that in pressed BUT to each their own !!!!

On arrival, no one was at reception, with no bell or other way to let staff know we were there, kept waiting for up to 5 minutes, this might seem petty but it's not what I would expect from a five-star hotel on arrival. The hotel was clean throughout although it does seem to be suffering from a faded grandeur. Our bedroom was clean, with a balcony which was great on an evening with a glass of wine watching the lights around the bay. The bed was very soft and needed replacing and seemed to be a small double? The bathroom shower needed updating although it was adequate for our needs. After showering I had to open a window (no extractor fan), and the window frame was black with mould! The water pressure in the taps was dreadful sometimes it was just a trickle. One evening at the bar the member of staff serving didn't know how to open a bottle of wine with a cork!! The hotel seemed to be running on minimum staff. It definitely needs modernisation, and the outside is starting to look grim. I would still recommend the hotel (just), but without a programme of investment I worry over the future of this hotel.

The hotel shows it's age, like a classic car. The staff are excellent. I particularly enjoyed the pool and spa area, again well passed it in age, it is comfortable and well run by attentive staff

Room and hotel in general a little neglected, wardrobe in room 121 had a terrible smell inside, so was unusable for clothes storage. Reported on leaving. Food was poor and overpriced for the quality. 3 course from set menu, one glass of wine and some sparkling water was around £56. Breakfast was overpriced for quality, very greasy and fatty limited cooked selection. Would not recommend in current condition.
