The hotel waa great, parking a little tight, but manageable, room was warm, clean and comfy, great access to the shops, with a 5 minute walk, staff were amazing to top it all off, parking is free if book with the hotel, if not you need to pay.

Room we were given was an absolute disgrace. The water pressure was that high the drainage was unable to cope causing flooding to bathrooms. This flooding was that bad it made the floors very slippery and caused me slip.
The wall was falling off the decoration was coming off and mould was everywhere
The valve on the radiator was not functioning properly so the room temperature was so high we had to sleep with the window open waking up in the night shivering and closing the window. The radiator went cold overnight when the heating went off.

We had an enjoyable overnight stay at the Minster Hotel. We'd been given a room upgrade and it was lovely and clean and spacious. Everything you needed with tea and coffee and biscuits supplied. Bathroom was spotless. The bed was so comfortable and had one of the best sleeps ever. Staff very welcoming , polite friendly and extremely helpful. On departure,staff let us leave our luggage for a few hours to enable us to enjoy some time in the beautiful city centre and the Xmas markets. Will definitely be returning here.

The receptionists were friendly and polite. We were able to drop our bag off prior to checking in which was great and they even put the bag in our room ready for us. We were also offered to leave it at check out which was nice. The room was newly refurbished with plenty of space and 2 chairs to sit on so we didn’t have to lounge on the bed which we appreciated. Breakfast was busy but there was plenty of cold buffet choices along with an order taken for hot food and all staff were pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

The room is clean but the standout is the staff - they are lovely. They leave a little parcel outside your door if you do not request room service which is a really nice hands off approach. In larger establishments you just don't get anything replenished if you don't take the room service. Location is unreal - would definitely come back if we are back in York!
