Must stay hotel if in York

It was an extremely varied breakfast with lots of choices. Staff excellent and very friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. We loved the welcome cup of tea/coffee. It was handy for train station, shops and York museum

Wonderful place! Great breakfast, dinner available, historic building renovated. Restaurants, train station, and the old city are within walking distance. Our room was wonderful- spacious and light.

Stayed for two nights and the staff are welcoming, the room was clean and quiet and walkable into the heart of York and the railway station. There is a bar with entertainment which did not disturb me during my stay. Enjoyed and would consider again on another trip.

The hotel was perfect.Friendly staff made it easy to check in and out after our stay. The food was really good and lots of it . The drinks in the bar were sensibly priced . Room was clean , tidy and ready on time . The mattress on the twin beds was a bit hard . But I suppose the hotel can’t cater for different people mattresses preferences.10 minutes walk into York which was good and when we ordered a taxi on the last night the drivers were brilliant and the fare was a good price 👍

Great stay, great place.

Absolutely amazing stay. Staff were brilliant and very helpful, location is perfect and room was great. Breakfast was amazing with lots of chooce available. Only slight blip was the water pressure of the shower. But thks did t detract from a lovely weekend away. Will certainly look to book again.

Staff were very welcoming. Rooms were fine - clean, shower good. Squeaky floor boards & soft bed but what do you expect - it's not a chain hotel. Tasty breakfast. Parking out the back a little tight but its free! But this is really nitpicking. I'd book it again if in York again.
