From Booking in to Booking out reception staff were polite friendly and greeted me with a smile rooms were dated but comfortable and clean all credit to the housekeeping team well done breakfast was great plenty of choice .nice sitting area around the hotel for talking or having a quiet drink with family would stay here again thanks

Like other reviewers we found this hotel to be a sad and very obviously long overdue for a renewal shadow of what we assume was its former self. Well located but the room view was a disgrace, damp walls, frayed carpets, dim lighting throughout the hotel, No air conditioning (but for a ceiling fan) and generally run down. We tried to be fair in a Trip Advisor review but it is hard to find positives. Cheaper than many other Brighton seaa front hotels, but so it should be.

Lovely hotel and great location.

The views across the sea are lovely. It's a busy road at times with and with no air con in the room meant windows had to be open in the summer sun. The hotel provides ear plugs though which are a life saver and made for a good night's sleep! The bar is busy with entertainment until the early evening and the drinks are well priced.

We had the most awful experience at this hotel. There is no way that this hotel should even charge £50 a night let alone £250 a night. The manager was lovely and we managed to get a refund as we didn’t stay. we literally went in looked at our room and asked to leave it was horrendous Dirty, holes in the bed, holes in the ceiling, stains on the floor absolutely vile.

We've been many times to the shop. And every time has been enjoyable. Our only disappointment was Winston Churchill s chair has been removed. It certainly added to the hist of this hotel.

This hotel is very old the staff were miserable at check in and at breakfast. We have stayed here a few times and you never get hot water when turning the shower on. The drinks at the bar are very expensive. Overall the place badly needs a refurbishment.

Location is great very close to the train station and the beach.Spectacular view from the room,bed was very comfortable.But the hotel is very dated,need a refurbishment,carpet was stained,window was dirty,no hot water,Tv didnt work,breakfast was very bad quality and tasteless.I do not recommend this hotel at all.
