Arrived for 1 night stay. A warm friendly greeting, informative and directed to room. Didn’t use restaurant for evening meal but from what we could hear folk enjoyed. Facilities very good , clean & maintained. All staff in different roles courteous and warmingly helpful (no grumpies). Leisure facility was nice for swim and sauna/steam. Full breakfast laid on with morning special of smoked salmon. Fresh fruit salad. Fine start to the day. To get to the beach & prom expect a 10-15 min downhill and a little longer coming back up. Hey it’s good to stretch the legs and get that sea air. If you are also an outdoor swimmer then this is the place to join the locals. I said on departure I’d give a favourable review why we both had a smile and enjoyed. The acid test, would we go back - YES. Thanks to all staff well done.

Very friendly staff and high standard room / leisure facilitities relative to cost. Good location for those visiting the wider Edinburgh area by car, looking for a base from which they can explore. City centre is accessible by bus, and infrequent train service, though didn’t try either. With free parking at Ocean Terminal, Leith, this makes an easy drive for families looking to visit shops, cinema, restaurant and of course the Royal Yacht Britannia. Would definitely go back.

it was ok, the staff are friendly and approachable, the rooms and corridors are nice and clean, the beds are nice and firm, one day my room didn't get made up so I had to go to the reception for coffees etc, and a couple of weeks ago my breakfast table was cleared as I was getting some toast, but that was just the very efficient staff,

Tolles Hotel für einen kurzen Städte-Trip!

Pros: Sehr freundliches und hilfreiches Personal! Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel. Bad frisch renoviert und sehr sauber.
Cons: Die Teppiche könnten häufiger gereinigt werden.
Location: Das Hotel befindet sich außerhalb von Edinburgh. Man kann hier leider nicht viel unternehmen. Mit dem Bus fährt man ca 30 Minuten bis zur Innenstadt.
Wir waren für 4 Tage über Silvester in Edinburgh, um an den Hogmanay-Feierlichkeiten teilzunehmen. Das Hotel war absolut super und ausreichend. Allerdings ist es etwas außerhalb, sodass wir immer mit dem Bus fahren mussten und auch abends immer abklären mussten, wann der letzte Bus zurück fährt. Durch die Feierlichkeiten über Silvester wurden glücklicherweise zusätzliche Nacht-Busse eingeteilt, so dass wir auch nachts problemlos zurück fahren konnten. Ansonsten fährt der letzte Bus zwischen 23 Uhr und 0.00 Uhr. Leider kann man in der Hotel-Umgebung kaum etwas unternehmen. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Bad war frisch renoviert. Die Dusche funktionierte einwandfrei und war absolut dicht (keine lästige Überschwemmung im Bad ;-)). Wir hatten ohne Frühstück gebucht. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbreit. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen (zumindest sofern in der Innenstadt alles ausgebucht ist).
