Stay Away!!

The hotel was an absolute nightmare, the staff , the rooms, the environment was terrible. We went for a short break to Edinburgh what a lovely city it really easy I stayed at hotel for three nights. The staff were very rude and didn't fix our tv until the last night. The beds had hair on the sheets and toilets were grim. On top of that the mattress felt as if you were sleeping on rock. Had such terrible back pains which affected our holiday heavily, really wouldn't advise anyone to stay here but Edinburgh is really nice, it just a shame the hotel ruined it.

midweek get away

stayed here from Tuesday day arriving at around three on the 27th Oct, the room was no15 up two flights of stairs which were terribly unstable to be honest, the room door was at the top of the second floor directly off the stairs so I heard everyone that past during the night and morning, the room was in the eve of the roof so I had a skylight directly over the bed, the room was a single extremely small room barely enough room to swing a cat in the bathroom was in two areas of the room a small toilet and wash basin that you had to duck into to use and the shower was found in an area normally the space for a wardrobe. yes it was clean cheapish and friendly buses every ten minutes cool but it was tiny honestly

expensive 2 night stay

too expensive for size of room . Changed to another room as first one was in basement no view . But second room was smaller !

Overnight stay

Very average service and poorly presented front reception and front of house. Breakfast overpriced for what was on offer.

Very Basic

very basic hotel and hotel room. After 10 PM there is no front desk until about 7AM and can get noisy since there is a wide gap under room door.

Good Value, Great Location

We wanted a couple of nights in Edinburgh, somewhere close enough to walk (the Edinburgh House Hotel is a bout 15-20 mins walk to Princess Street) but didn't want to pay the earth. This wee place ticked all the boxes, it was clean & tidy, very spacious room (we had a Quad Room at the front, 1 double and 2 singles), we didnt do breakfast so cant comment on that. The Double Bed's matress had had plenty of use so could have been a bit better but there were no complaints about the singles. Being at the front on Pilrig Road, there was a bit of traffic noise from around 6am when things started to get busy, but during the night was fine. Overall, if you want somewhere in a decent location that's clean & tidy at a reasonable price, I'd recommend the Edinburgh House Hotel :)
