This ‘hotel’ (or university dorm) is completely unsuitable for families. I booked two nights for my family and by 2am on the first night had us moved to a different hotel next door (which is part of the same group and ten times better). The staff were very good I really can’t fault them and the help they provided, but the paper thin walls and inexcusable behaviour from other guests means I would never ever stay here again. If you value sleep or are travelling as a family I’d strongly recommend you think twice.

Great room! The breakfast and service at breakfast was second to none, like a 5 star hotel. Maybe consider some water in the rooms and vanity kits. Every staff member was amazing.

I had a pleasant stay at The Scholar. The staff were all very welcome, especially the gentleman at the bar. The room was great for what I needed. The only comment I have is that the pillows were quite thick - I usually only sleep with one but even that one was too thick for me and I woke up with neck and shoulder pain. It's a small detail as I know everyone will have their preferences but I felt that if the pillows were thinner, those who prefer more cushioning could have just used more pillows. Other than that, my stay was lovely.
