Nice hotel close to town centre

Nice relaxing overnight stay. Rooms clean, comfortable and good size with well stocked minibar and coffee maker. Food in restaurant was delicious for dinner and nice selection of hot and cold breakfast. Lovely courtyard which would be great in summer for eating and drinking outdoors. Only gripe was having to pay £10 to park especially when no attempt had been made to clear the tiny car park of deep snow and ice - treacherous with most cars struggling to get in and out of tight space while slipping and skidding.

Very comfortable with a touch of elegance

Pros: Comfortable and elegant.
Cons: Car park spaces.
Location: Near city centre and river Tyne.
It was a weekend family trip for the football and shopping. We only had standard rooms, but they were decorated to a good tasteful standard and were very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant at night and the quality of the food and service was excellent. In addition, the wine waiter was very helpful. The only drawback is the lack of parking spaces, but that won't put us off staying again.

Nice hotel, with alternative layout

Was really surprised by the hotel, it has a great layout and offers rooms with a mezzanine floor accommodating bath and shower separately. Bed was a little uncomfortable, but absolutely everything was in the room that you could require.

Nice hotel almost there.

Nice hotel parking is not the best. Room was really nice but missing little extras for a top hotel no bath salts or bubble bath no slippers no st bags for ladies no free biscuits lots you could pay for no free water. Just missing little home comforts. Room was noisy with it being old building people walking up and down and bath water from above emptying was awake at 7 am both mornings. Breakfast was poor boiled eggs over done and egg Benedict hollandaise sauce was split this should never have left the kitchen just split butter sent back as could not eat and 2nd time was much better. Hotel bar was taken over one afternoon by a group of people took up all the bar they should have been asked to move to a table but was not so we had one drink and moved to our room. This was our 2nd stay here but sadly think we might try another hotel shame as i really love the rooms so diffrent.
