Disappointing!

Disappointing stay, and a very overpriced one at that. Supposed to have had a King bed in our room, as that’s what was paid for. Definitely wasn’t. Noisy, smelly and tired room, Music being played loudly until well after midnight, which caused our child to not sleep well, heater in room didn’t work, so was extremely cold with no extra blankets or heating options. Called reception but was offered no answer. Room was damp and cold. Breakfast was no better, cost almost £40 for 1 adult 1 child, went to breakfast at 8.30, asked for 2 poached eggs, and by 9.30 we left without any eggs, asked twice. Poor choice and undercooked meat, I’ve had better breakfast at Wetherspoons for a hell of a lot less. I’ll be looking for a different hotel next month when I’m back in Newcastle.

Really disappointed with the hotel, claims to be an executive hotel and found it in a run down state and then breakfast etc was in the shark bar which was also disappointing, not great food had to wait 10 mins for bacon n sausage, no real fresh fruit either Room had a few defects too Overall won’t return or recommend, not good value for money

Expected better for the price

The room wasn't the best. There was a shelf in the bathroom hanging loose from the wall, something above the shower held together with tape, wall paper coming off from under the window. I did report this to reception and the staff were very friendly, they offered to move us room but we declined as didn't want the hassle for one night, they said they would get maintenance to fix the shelf while we were out - no one did. The next morning when I went to take a shower the soap dispenser was empty, this made me wonder how well they had actually cleaned the room. Upon leaving, the switch under the door light came off in my hands. I won't book this hotel again, especially for the price.

Nice stay over

Lovely clean hotel. Only downfall was the cleaning staff were very noisy early morning outside the bedroom door talking then shouting down the corridor

Not as good as thought

Well we arrived early 2 pm over night stay girls night out in town, stayed our room ready which all good Booked what thought was a family room twin with kitchenette and double sofa bed As 3 adults ladies Went into room Sofa bed pulled out and all ready made up what we thought was a small thin quilt, but no a thin throw ??? We had no safe access to the single bed by the window I needed to climb over single bed next to it by the toilet For a kitchenette it only had 2 small cups n 2 small glasses in bathroom 2 bath towels n only one hand towel I went down see the front desk to tell them spoke to Steven He said he’d get in touch house keeping which he did , we had fresh towels 3 wine glasses n 3 towering robes Which probably should been there first place Shower monsoon type good No toiletries so make sure you take your own Sofa bed was so uncomfortable mattress was as thin paper n like said no quilt or blanket There was 2 tv microwave n kettle 2 plates That was it So I’m so glad I wasn’t staying here longer n with kids Would I go back probably not I’d find somewhere else
