Great hotel in centre of Reading

This hotel was just as sold on the booking site. Great twin room with very comfortable beds. All facilities in the room that you would expect to be there. Room was clean and I couldn't find fault. I was in a room in the 2nd floor with a side facing room (away from the street side), this meant I didn't hear any noise from elsewhere in the hotel or from outside on the street. This hotel is right in the centre of Reading, there isn't any parking but NCP car park is a short walk away and offers an overnight rate of £3. I couldn't fault this hotel, although they do lock the gates to get into the hotel after 11pm, so you need to buzz to get let in.

Nice central location.

Pros: Price & location!
Location: Right next to the Oracle and lots of Reading shops as well as plenty of nightlife (such as it is in Reading!)
I was looking for a cheap and cheerful central location for a room to stay after a night out in Reading and this ticked all the boxes: reasonably priced, en suite, clean & comfortable single bed. Perfect for what I wanted.

No problems

Standard hotel in reading city centre, wouldn't go for a honeymoon but staff were efficient, the room was clean with a good mattress. The room was sweltering hot but I only realised in the morning I could have opened the windows. Good hotel if you're looking to stay in reading centre on a budget

Reading Festival

Hotel Great Location for th Festival Friendly Staff. Clean Room. Only gumble aas £12.50 for Breakfast bit steep esp with no fried eggs to cure my hangovers ;)

Hotel near to shops and railway station.

Pros: We found it quiet and comfortable. The reception was friendly and obliging.
Cons: Yes. There should be the possibility to cancel within a set time.
Location: The hotel is quite near to the station and within 2 minutes of an enormous shopping centre, The Oracle. and other good shops. Buses rn nearby.
Coming from Heathrow and going to Cornwall, we found Reading a very convenient place to break our journey. The George hotel is not far from the station and very comfortable. We appreciated the fact that good shops were within 2 minutes of the hotel.
