Very nice stay

Room was nice, bed comfortable. We had to ask for clean towels and loo roll for 2nd day but these were brought quickly. Staff on reception were excellent. Breakfast was lovely and had vegan options.

York holiday inn

Great hotel and friendly staff. Bed abit uncomfortable for me as only had 1 pillow which was very flat. Unfortunately shower only dribbled water out and I honestly mean a little tiny dribble! Apart from that though great room, lots of space and clean.

The hotel was in a quiet area but very close to a lively street full of cafe bars & restaurants The hotel was clean & modern. The staff were friendly & very helpful Check in & check out were the fastest I’ve ever known a hotel reception to be. The room had everything we needed

The hotel was fine, although, the room cleaner seemed to run late and resulted in my room not getting cleaned and the free tea and coffee not being replenished. Apart from that it was fine as I use a hotel room as a base to explore my destination. The breakfast was very good and lots of it too.

Reasonable standard but common ares are a little tired and could do with some TLC. Staff were very helpful. We did not eat in hotel but plenty of choice of places to eat close by. Dick Turpin’s grave is behind the hotel.

When I first got into the room (107) I noticed a loud whirring noise outside. On investigation it was coming from a bank of fans directly below the window. I went to reception at around 19:45 to ask of we could be moved, and was told no as there were no other rooms available. The gentleman on reception said it wouldn't be a problem as the fan is an extract fan for the kitchen a d would go off atbaround 21:15. The fans didn't go off and were operating all noghtband into the morning. and ate still.on now. I and my family have hardly slept as a result of the noise.

Mixture of experience. Staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel was clean and had a fairly nice lounge area. The downfall of our stay was the fairly cold temperature in the room caused by a draught coming through the window. This also let in noise and we frequently heard the less sober individuals leaving the Weatherspoons opposite. We felt the room was quite small as we used the sofa bed which meant the two beds took up almost all of the space in the room.

Good location to get to all parts of the city to visit places of interest, shopping and food and drink options. Hotel clean and comfortable, staff friendly. Breakfast option was expensive so eat out at a cheaper establishment nearby.
