The Staff were wonderfully friendly, helpful and courteous. Everything else was as it should be at such a quality rated hotel - 'spot on'. Many congratulations and 100% would recommend it. We are certainly going to stay there again when we next visit York.

Amazing service, very friendly staff. I think the best service I got in UK so far. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. The rooms are on the smaller side compared to US hotel rooms but still double. Loved the room decoration and the design. The only thing to point out is the shower tub didn’t drain the water well, but I think it’s a fixable issue. Overall really liked it and planning to come back again

We stayed here back in 2016. Really enjoyed the hotel. However , the bed and bedding now are awful and the breakfast is poor quality and crowed by the self serve area. Didnt notice previously but the walls are paper thin.

All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room pleasant and comfortable. Could have been five stars if they had a bit of soundproofing in the rooms. Putting us in an adjoining room meant we could hear every word spoken next door. Not great for the premium room price paid.

Hotel modern and an easy 5 minute walk into the city. Parking for hotel and public parking 5 minutes around the corner. Staff were great, friendly and accommodating. Room large with towels and shower gels, shampoo and bathrobes. Tea and coffee making facilities. They're quite tight on the amount they provide you with, had to ask at reception for more. Room a bit dusty in places , light bulb not working and floor in doorway to bathroom peeling back . Breakfast a BIG let down. Looks great, again very modern but not practical. No heat lamps keeping it hot. Would advise you to order from the a'la carte menu on the table. At least you know it will be fresh and hot. We chose not to have evening meal there as breakfast so rubbish. Loads of great restaurants just minutes from the hotel. If I stayed again I'd go out for breakfast also. The whole booking was no way worth the ridiculous amount of money we paid for the hotel. Save your money from this hotel, there are cheaper ones that are better quality. Definitely 3star not the 4star they advertised.

Hotel decent enough but no WOW factor. Waited nearly 15 minutes to get served a glass of red wine on Saturday night. Part of the issue is, they were handing out tickets for free mulled wine and had ran out (about 5-6 people asked for this and were told it would be available later). Breakfast ok, no better than average. For just under £700 for 2 nights not exactly cheap either. What I would say, is none of this is really the fault of the staff. All young ladies bursting their buns and doing their best. Issue is, like with lots of places, not enough of them at peak times.

Staff were very courteous. It was a shame that restaurant mainly served pasta dishes on an evening. Room was clean as was all other areas of hotel. Ideally located to york city centre and we were lucky enough to get a space in hotel car park which is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Would most definitely use this hotel in the future
