Good central hotel

Great hotel centrally based easy access to main railway station 8mins walking approx. Nice functional room with work space and light. Tea & coffee in room was good. Breakfast, there was a good selection. I ordered evening meals in the bar and they were adequate however limited. My overall stay was very positive and I would recommend this hotel. One thing the hotel would benefit from is a water bottle refil system in a public area.

Very comfortable

Very comfortable stay. Bed was a little too high, even for my long legs to reach up on! Sink in bathroom not entirely clean, and shower head needs attention too. Overall very pleasant stay with very helpful staff who allowed me to check in early so that I could meet with others in the city centre.

Ladies catch up

We stayed at The Radisson due to it's convenience to York Centre. Reception was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. However, at the one meal we had in the hotel restaurant, service was slow and one of our meals was burnt and had to be re done. In one of our rooms the sink was blocked and smelt awful, though the other 2 were okay. Also, my door key only worked intermittently and I was constantly trekking to reception to have it re-callibrated.

Absolutely atrocious stay at the Radisson. Sewage smell coming out of the bathroom all night affecting our sleep. We only booked for one night and when asked if could move rooms, we were told no rooms were available. Absolutely shocking.

Disappointing

We booked 2 rooms for 2 couples in standard double rooms. Firstly, I must say the staff were very nice and helpful. However, the hotel is dated and could do with freshening up. All the corridors were very cold, In the rooms the bathrooms have no heating and are cold and the TV’s didn’t have a signal in either room. The hotel staff did try to fix the TV without success.

Below Raddison average

The outlook of the buoding looked run down, flags on the flag poles was torn up. It was not a great fiest impression. In the hotel its self it was well decorated and nice inside, breakfast was great. The hotel room was below standard of a raddison. Ok decorated. There where many things broken in the room and missing cover plates. The worst part the windows did not seal and allowed the wind in. If it wasnt for the heavy curtins we would of left.
