Short stay

There was a sizeable queue at check, hiwever that was probably due to an event that was on. Staff were friendly Room was clean with the usual coffee/tea making, clean towels and shower and hair products. Bed was comfy. Hotel is situated near the BP pulse and national exhibition centre. Surrounded by food court and bar area's.

We were on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel. Super quiet which was great and very convenient for the NEC or BPlive arena.

Mainly good, dreadful lack of breakfast

We arrived early and were able to check in early as our room was ready, excellent . Helpful check in staff not so much when different staff on duty the next day. Dreadful breakfast …there wasn’t anything left including milk, even though we went to breakfast 30 minutes before it was due to finish. Complained to reception and asked for breakfast refund, this was immediately agreed, although when I checked on our check out they admitted it hadn’t been refunded as they couldn’t find my card details as booked through Hotels.com. When I presented my card they processed the refund so unless I had checked, no refund would have been forthcoming.

Hotel stay for Spring Fair

We attended the Spring Fair at the NEC which was a great location. Short walk through an industrial part - follow the blue line. Good experience, friendly staff.

Great location, sign posted from Birmingham International station perfectly. Only downside was a bad night's sleep. I don't sleep well when I travel anyway, but there seemed to be a permanent humming from another rooms a/c. Wouldn't stop me using again though.
