The room was very clean and a good size, free wi fi. Due to covid all tea and coffee and kettle was removed from room but you could ask at reception and they would make one. Breakfast was limited and brought to your room but was adaquate and no fault of hotel. There was no bar open and dinning room closed but plenty of pubs and eating places nerby. Staff friendly and only had to ask and it was done.

Cheap

Friendly staff and a decent breakfast buffet gave a great impression but were let down by no towels in the room and a terrible smell of urine in the bathroom.

load of rubbish

I was informed that I could not get a cup of coffee in the Bar when I arrived, coffee was supplied if my room but being slightly disabled I could not reach it as it was in a draw almost on the floor. I was informed that I could not have anything to eat as they did not serve food until 7:30 so back up to my room, 7:30 came and I was informed that it would take up to 3/4 of an hour for a bowel of chilli. at that I called it a night, or so I thought, the walls were so thin I could hear something like an Irish Banshee shouting outside in the corredore then some body shouting I cannot find my pyjamas, all this at 01:00 in the morning. Tried to get back to sleep but the lights in the corredore kept going on and off it was like Blackpool Illuminations, finally it was time to get up and I could not get out quick enough.

lovely retreat for reflection

In line with the rating no more no less, nice place, cool, silent, excellent for all maner of holidays, work etc. Staff are wonderfull

Good clean hotel with a bar

We stayed here as a stepping stone to break up a long journey. The bed and breakfast deal for 2 was only £65 The hotel room was clean with a good shower and other amenities: the double bed was comfortable. The hotel was overall presentable but there was a noticeable damp fusty smell in the lower ground floor corridor. The bar served tasty food at reasonable price but there are plenty take always within 5 mins and even a carvery restaurant nearby. The only negative we have is the staff who didn't really engage with us at all.. Even the girl on reception when we checked out could even be bothered to put down her personal mobile phone to process our check out!!

Great Barr Hotel

5th/6th visit to the hotel - good value for money - very good breakfast choice. Easy to reach and on site parking. Staying while competing in Alexander Stadium in British Masters.

Gute Preis/Leistung

Für den Preis ein sehr gutes Hotel mit Parkplatz in Birmingham. Wir waren nur auf der Durchreise nach Schottland vor Ort und dafür war es für den Preis sehr gut. Vielen Dank nochmal.
