Great Stay

We had a great stay at the Carlton George. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. They were polite, friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed and lots of little extras. We had a Club Room so the Executive Lounge was available to use. It was a great space, with refreshments provided. We ate in the Windows Restaurant and had a lovely meal at a good price. We would definitely stay again.

Arrived late and room service option was pizza only and was 45 minute wait. Offered me to get uber eats which was fine. Very convenient location. Rooms a little tired. Free mini bar nice touch.

Although we liked the lounge - the canapés (cheese & biscuits) were never replenished. Breakfast continental offering wasn’t topped up regularly and no bread to go with the meats and cheese. It was also expensive to add breakfast to our booking. Hotel changed our room as we were unhappy with our first room but they did charge us to do this. Drinks and mini bar in rooms great addition

Got a good deal on this but did not know access to VIP lounge restricted and was at time when we were at theatre. No flexibility on check in unless you pay. Staff friendly and helpful, clean and restaurant looked nice although we didn’t get to use it.

Really enjoyed this property, other than the lack of parking. We found the closest place to park was at Buchanan Galleries at over £20/night. This is a 2 block walk to the hotel. Not a big deal dragging your luggage down the hill if you are able bodied, but the walk back up was a little more daunting. The hotel itself is worth it. The staff at check-in were friendly and kind. The hotel and room decor is authentic Scottish style, we found the free mini bar and spirits cabinet very quaint, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of fantastic shopping, culture and dining options. The breakfast is a can’t miss at this hotel! Not only is the food and wait staff amazing, but the view from the rooftop balcony at Windows Restaurant might make some of your favourite photos from your trip!

Great hotel!

Book an executive room with lounge access. We had complimentary afternoon tea in the lounge and in the evening we had a couple of hours in the lounge with complimentary drinks & snacks!! Excellent value.

Went in early to drop our bags off and got offered an early check in for £10. Nice and clean but not a great view from the executive rooms. Apparently the club rooms have a. better view. Made use of the lounge for a wee snack and some soft drinks before heading out into Glasgow. We'd booked drinks in the lounge from 1700-1930 so headed back for then. There was an assortment of drinks and snacks available and you just help yourself to whatever you want. Breakfast was excellent, and check out was simple with them offerimng to keep our bags until we were heading to the station to go home again. We will no doubt be back.
