We stayed for two nights on the 2nd floor The room itself was ok, but had a smell to it when you entered. This we found out to be cooking smells from the bars underneath our room at street level. Also very noisy on an evening to 3am in the morning with very loud music, shouting above music etc. from the bars below. This badly interrupted our sleep that evening. We did complain to reception and asked for a room change, they did offer a change, but this meant leaving our room and waiting for the replacement room which was only available later in the day. As we needed the room to get ready for a wedding this didn't work for us. Instead we were offered ear plugs.

The only reason I don’t give a 5 star is becuse our room was very noisy. On the side of the hotel our room was, there were 3 bars, which had loud music and people parting until very late in the am every night (even on a Sunday). The windows are bot sound proof. Also, we could hear our neighbors walking upstairs (also until late at night). Other than that, service was great, spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and the laundry room included for guests was very convenient. Probably if you get a room higher up (we were on the second floor) or on another part of the hotel (which is big), you won't have the party noise issues.

If you're looking for the perfect getaway in Glasgow, look no further than the Fraser! I recently stayed there, and it was an unforgettable experience. As a first time visitor, I couldn't have asked for a better location it's ideally situated near a plethora of fantastic restaurants and vibrant bars, making it easy to explore the local culinary scene and nightlife. The charm of the Fraser is truly captivating. There's something magical about the views, especially when the moonlight casts a beautiful glow on the spires, reminiscent of a scene straight out of Harry Potter. It adds a touch of history and whimsy that makes the experience even more special. Comfort was never an issue; the Fraser is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. From cozy accommodations to thoughtful amenities, they’ve thought of it all. I left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return. If you’re in Glasgow, the Fraser should be your go-to spot! Highly recommended!

Great layout of the suite. Good amount of accessories available for guests. Downside is that there are not many open recepticals to plug them in. Only in the living room could they be plugged in for use. The bathtub drain was very slow causing standing water while shower was used. The TV Cable wires were not plugged into the wall and TV's requring them to be plugged in to view local TV stations.

Hotel was nice and central, reasonably tidy and large rooms, but why, in 2025 would you stay in a room with no air conditioning. The hotel is very old, and there is a musty smell throughout. Air conditioning would have made all the difference. this hotel was expensive and highly rated. I am unsure why.

Clean/roomy but beware of bar noise.

Was a stop over stay in a one bedroom on the first floor. Room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable but windows you can’t see out of. Beware of the very loud bar noise and music that went to 1am on a Thursday night.
