Lovely old hotel. Beautiful bathroom. I had a single room on the top floor. The bed was very comfortable. There was no air conditioning, but the bathroom window could be opened. Location on George Square was perfect. I walked everywhere.

Requires updating with a freshly cooked breakfast

For the price that we paid of £179 for bed and breakfast we felt that it was overpriced for what we received. Our room 425 could do with renovating especially the bathroom and shower. Tiles cracked along the outside of bath. We feel that the breakfast provided is very poor. We would rather a breakfast cooked to order and fresh rather than be kept warm on a buffet style table. The products are dried out and obviously heated up in the oven on trays. This cannot be a cost effective way to provide breakfast. For the price paid I was expecting more than we received from such an iconic Hotel in the Centre of Glasgow.

Lovely old building, full of character. Very convenient for Glasgow Queen Street railway station (next door). Welcoming staff. Wide selection at breakfast although you have to pay for it. Relaxing glassed-in area overlooking the square where you can have a drink or wait for a train. Bed and bedding extremely comfortable. Warm towel rail in bathroom and heating in room adjustable.
