This is not a hotel despite the description. At best it is a large B&B. My wife slipped in the bath/shower (no anti- slip bath mat) and we asked reception to inform the management on our way out for the day. Checking out the next day the “owner” said he was not told and wondered did I want to write this in the accident book ! At no stage did anybody enquire as to my wife’s wellbeing. The other issue here is car parking - cruising customers park long term and it is near impossible to get a space on a return from a day out. Also, the room was shabby and not particularly clean - it would not pass muster in any half decent hotel. We will not return here or recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was not fully booked yet I got put in a front facing room even though heavy road works were happening directly outside. As I found out much later, the roadworks were 24 hours and the windows not great at noise isolation. Didn't think it was worth the hassle of asking for a rear facing room and switching at 2am and got very little sleep as a result. Room was a good size, wifi was fast, and the restaurant staff were friendly. The restaurant is quite small and the food average but not massively overpriced. Breakfast selection was quite limited and the cooked breakfast rather poor. Seemed like everything was cooked in the same pan as it all tasted the same. The OJ was sour too. The room was relatively clean if a little dated. Carpet and mattress were stained, the shower had a constant drip, and the mattress lumpy. Reception staff didn't seem to care much either, no enquiry to how my stay was or if they could do anything upon checking out. Just "here's your bill, see you later". What's worse, I asked reception for a taxi to the airport and whomever they used ripped me off, didn't use a meter and charged £18 (usually £10) and I didn't have time to argue. 2nd time staying her for work and a 2nd sleepless night. Gave them the benefit of the doubt as I prefer to support independent hotels but I won't be staying here again
